Research interests:

(1) Innovation and development of bio-medicine for aquatic organisms

A primary research focus is screening effective natural product from plant and microorganism, which could kill bacteria, parasite and harmful algae and promote breeding animal’s immune system and growth, aiming to develop bio-medicines with no side effects and feed additive while discover novel active molecular and study structure-activity relationship to biomimetic synthesis or synthesis raw materials for bio-medicines and feed additive. Develop bio-medicines and feed addictive with independent intellectual property right.

(2) Molecular etiology and biological product research

    Mainly focus on pathogenesis of the main pathogen in breeding aquatic animals; fundamental research and clinical application of low virulent or gene-engineering vaccine; isolation and screen of beneficial microorganism from intestine of aquatic animals and study the relationship between various flora, so as to develop microbial preparation and modifier for aquaculture.
